PUMPKINS AND APPLES!!
   These are truly the sign that fall has arrived.  I was beginning to wonder if it would ever get here as the hot temps have been with us constantly since mid-July with no significant relief.  But today the cool, brisk air spurs me to action to see that I am ready for the coming month.  I look forward to all of you Fall Lovers coming to get apples and pumpkins.  But don't overlook the great winter squash that we have:  Butternut, Acorn and my favorite, Kabocha.  Our supply of tomatoes is overflowing and probably will be for a while as our 50 foot green house is lined with tomato plants laden with green tomatoes. 
   Thank you to all my customers who have supported my fresh veggie store this year.  I love to make you all happy and healthy. 

The Raspberries are Back!

We are open beginning this Saturday, July 28, 2012 for raspberry picking.  All the raspberries are U-Pick  We will have yellow squash and zucchini also.  The store will be open on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10 to 4.  Raspberry picking is 24/7 (as those who have been here before know).  So come see us.  If you need directions, see my website:  driesfarms.com.

Pumpkin Mania

Pumpkin Mania has come and almost gone. Sunday, October 30 will be our last day for apples and pumpkins. We have very few apples left...but alot of pumpkins. Pumpkins will keep for many weeks if stored in a cool, dry place. Store some for Thanksgiving for decorations, pies, or dinner in a pumpkin.

PUMPKINS & APPLES

It's that times of year again....pumpkins and apples! We opened 10 days ago to sell corn, tomatoes, squash, watermelons etc. Next weekend....Sept 24...we will be selling apples and pumpkins. We have alot of apples this year and some really great looking pumpkins. Our hours are Thusday - Sunday from noon to 5 pm. We are also 24/7 self serve. Last Week for Pumpkins
For some people, picking out your "one and only" true pumpkin in the whole world is a the highlight of the Halloween season. During the past two weeks we have had kids of all ages explore the pumpkin patch for the perfect pumpkin for either carving or using to decorate a porch or table. Like Crisi and her family, many of our "pumpkin scouts" have come from Ridgecrest, California City, Bakersfield, Palmdale and Los Angeles (in addition to the local Tehachapi-ites). Crisi said that she will be back next year and we hope you will too. And if you haven't come by yet, we will be open everyday this week. Come on down!!!
